Airbnb Rebrand
In partnership with DesignStudio, our small brand design team at Airbnb led the charge on redefining Airbnb’s vision, purpose and end-to-end brand experience during a period of explosive hyper-growth. I collaborated across tons of areas of this project, including brand guideline development, global print and digital assets creation and localization, and internal experience.
Upon the 2020 Airbnb IPO, the opening share price doubled within 24 hours and the overall company valuation exceeded $29B higher than the top competitor. With a market cap of almost $87B, Airbnb is far and away dominating competition. Similarly to the Uber rebrand I co-led in 2018, Airbnb’s brand transformation is a perfect example of how much positive business impact a strategic, well executed rebrand can have.
